GERMANTOWN, Md.; (Feb. 9, 2021) – On Jan. 28, the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, awarded DynCorp International (DI) a $32.5 million firm-fixed price, cost reimbursable Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract begins Feb. 1, 2021 and is expected to be completed in September 2021.
DI team members will continue to provide organizational, selected intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance and logistics services in support of aircraft, including the F/A-18A-F, EA-18G, MH-60S, F-16A/B, and E-2C. Work will be performed at the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) in Fallon, Nevada.

NAWDC at Naval Air Station Fallon is the center of excellence for naval aviation training and tactics development. NAWDC provides service to aircrews, squadrons and air wings throughout the U.S. Navy through flight training, academic instructional classes, and direct operational and intelligence support. It is the home for the famous Navy Top Gun program.
NAWDC’s maintenance department is the heart of training for all the NAWDC schoolhouses, with a focus on providing mission-ready fleet and adversary aircraft configured with required weapons and systems for all training evolutions. DI supports daily training missions with the F-16 Viper, F-18 Hornet and Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler, E-2C Hawkeye and the MH-60S Seahawk; conducting scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on over 40 individual aircraft. These aircraft and weapon systems are the foundation for all other NAWDC department’s training syllabi.
