Amentum is proud to announce our partnership with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF). Under this remarkable initiative, Amentum will partner with ASF to provide unwavering support to a select group of exceptional scholars pursuing undergraduate degrees in STEM fields. This partnership reflects Amentum’s commitment to fostering excellence in engineering, science, technology, and math.
Amentum’s sponsorship includes three scholars:
- Curtis Althaus, attending University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, is majoring in Chemistry and Astrophysics. He has a love for research and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in electrochemistry after graduation.
- Isabella Dressel, attending University of Virginia, is majoring in Atmospheric Science. She has a focus on air pollution and climate that was sparked from her childhood visit to Beijing, China.
- Ryan O’Hara, attending Harvey Mudd College, is majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics, Environmental Analysis. He is currently focusing on climate change research and policy.
Founded in 1984 by the six surviving Mercury 7 astronauts, the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation’s mission is to aid the United States in retaining its world leadership in technology and innovation by supporting the very best and brightest scholars in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while commemorating the legacy of America’s pioneering astronauts.
