Amentum’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) program has just achieved an incredible milestone – it is now certified to not just one, but two International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards!
“This is a major accomplishment that elevates our standards to the next level at Amentum,” said Jeff Treffinger, VP EHS. “Two ISO certifications of our EHS program not only substantiate our commitment to health, safety, and the environment, but also provides a competitive advantage as our company accelerates growth in the defense industrial market base.”
The first certification, ISO 14001:2015, is a globally recognized standard for environmental management systems. It provides a framework for organizations to not only design and implement an effective environmental program, but also continuously improve it. By adhering to this standard, Amentum is taking proactive steps to minimize our environmental impact, stay in compliance with regulations, and achieve environmental goals. It’s a win-win situation for both Amentum and the planet!
But that’s not all – Amentum has also achieved certification to ISO 45001:2018, the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. This is a big deal because it demonstrates Amentum’s commitment to managing risks and improving the health and safety of our employees. With this certification, Amentum has set a high bar for occupational health and safety standard implementation.
