Amentum at the 2025 National Space Symposium: Advancing the Future of Space Together

The 2025 National Space Symposium served as a powerful convergence point for the global space community—bringing together leaders, innovators, and emerging talent to shape the future of space exploration, defense, and innovation. Amentum was proud to be a visible and engaged presence throughout the week, reinforcing our deep commitment to the nation’s space mission.
From the start, our booth drew strong interest from attendees, industry partners, and fellow exhibitors, who praised both the design and the energy of our team. While overall attendance may have been lighter than in past years, the quality and intensity of engagement told a different story: the space sector is moving forward with focus and momentum.

One of the week’s key highlights was the New Gen Speed Mentoring Event, where early-career professionals had the opportunity to connect with senior leaders for valuable insights and career guidance. We were honored to have Mark Walter, President of Amentum’s Engineering & Technology business group, speak during this session, sharing his perspective on leadership, innovation, and the evolving needs of the space enterprise.

Another standout moment was the Salon Panel Luncheon, titled “Launching the New Workforce: Solving the Human Challenge of the 21st Century Space Market.” This timely discussion focused on one of the most pressing issues in the space industry today—recruiting, developing, and retaining the next generation of space professionals. Randy Lycans, Senior Vice President for Space Solutions, served as moderator, guiding a dynamic and thoughtful conversation among panelists: Jules Clayton, Director of Space Systems, Insight Global; Tracie Crane, Director at Amentum; Jeremy Parsons, EGS Deputy Program Manager at NASA Kennedy Space Center; Tyson Tucker, Operations Manager at MRI; and Jared Stout, Vice President and Chief of Staff, External Relations at Axiom Space. The discussion struck a meaningful chord with attendees, resonating with both seasoned leaders and new entrants to the field as they explored how industry, government, and academia can collaborate to shape a sustainable, skilled, and mission-ready space workforce.

Amentum’s presence extended well beyond the exhibit hall. Leaders from our defense, space, intelligence, and civilian markets actively networked throughout the week—meeting with customers, participating in strategic conversations, and representing the Amentum brand at the highest level. Their leadership and engagement reinforced our reputation as a trusted partner in delivering innovative solutions to the space community.
Throughout the symposium, our teams held impactful meetings with key partners and customers, supported high-visibility media opportunities, and led conversations around workforce development and national space priorities.

Behind the scenes, our local teams from the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) and North American Aerospace Defense Command/Northcom Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II) were essential in ensuring that demo booth operations ran smoothly and efficiently. Their support—from booth logistics to event coordination—played a vital role in Amentum’s success throughout the week.
Our commitment to cultivating future talent was also on full display during STEM Day, where 11 of our New Gen participants attended the event and had the opportunity to speak with local students about careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Their insights and enthusiasm helped spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of space professionals, reinforcing Amentum’s dedication to education, outreach, and workforce development.
Across every event, interaction, and initiative, our teams from across mission sets showed what it means to be #OneAmentum—collaborative, unified, and purpose-driven. The connectivity and shared sense of mission among our colleagues throughout the week were palpable and inspiring.
We leave the symposium energized and ready to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space. Thank you to all who helped make this year’s event such a success. The future of space is bright, and Amentum is proud to help lead the way.
