Amentum’s Drive to Support U.S. Military
At Amentum, we are a dedicated supporter of Yellow Ribbon Fund. Nearly a third of our workforce is comprised of veterans that have served in the nation’s armed forces. Amentum’s support for veterans doesn’t stop there. Through our support, Yellow Ribbon Fund has been able to help service members and their families in big ways.
Yellow Ribbon Fund is a non-profit veteran service organization dedicated to serving severely ill and injured post-9/11 wounded service members and their families from every branch of the United States Military following unexpected medical crises.
Through two programs, Crossroads and Keystone, Yellow Ribbon Fund has provided housing and transportation to service members receiving treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and their families. In addition, a comprehensive caregiver program provides mental and financial wellness events, education, and respite.
Yellow Ribbon Fund has proudly served over 26,000 service members with ninety cents of every dollar going directly to our military families.
Amentum’s Impact
In 2020, Amentum saw an opportunity to expand our impact within the veteran space, becoming a corporate sponsor of Yellow Ribbon Fund.
Over the past three years, Amentum’s impact has been profound. With Amentum’s support, Yellow Ribbon Fund has been able to fill in the gaps of care for over 1,500 military families – funding short-term housing and over 1,700 hotel nights, two fully furnished apartments, and continuation of three Keystone Programs providing services that our caregivers and military families need.
Yellow Ribbon Fund’s mission is to offer supplemental assistance to wounded, ill and injured service members and their caregivers, bridging the gap between their needs and earned benefits, enabling families to stay together during critical recuperation. With Amentum’s support Yellow Ribbon Fund is able to continue this mission.
