McLean, VA – (September 10, 2020) – On July 21, DynCorp International (DI) was awarded an Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) V task order for engineering support services at Al Dhafra Air Base (ADAB) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Task order initial period of performance began July 22, 2020 and consists of one base year and four option years. The estimated total value of the contract and all options if exercised is in excess of $20 million. The award was made by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center.
Under the ADAB Engineering Support task order, DI provides design assistance, engineering services, and geospatial information system (GIS) support services for the Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron at Al Dhafra Air Base. GIS, a framework for gathering, managing and analyzing data rooted in the science of geography, organizes layers of information into visualizations using maps and 3D scenes.
“We are excited to start our first task order under AFCAP V,” said Randy Bockenstedt, president of DynLogistics. “We were awarded 11 task orders under the preceding AFCAP IV IDIQ, and this particular task order we were thrilled to have won back from an incumbent who held it previously.”
AFCAP V provides contingency planning, deploying and training/equipping of forces; emergency and contingency construction; logistics/commodities and services. The location of performance is determined at task order level and includes various locations worldwide.
