Karl Spinnenweber is the President of Amentum’s Mission Solutions Group. In this capacity, Karl is directly responsible for leading the delivery of advanced technical solutions and services to Amentum’s client base worldwide. With an international workforce of more than 24,000; the Missions Solutions team provides sophisticated aviation, infrastructure, maintenance, diplomacy and international development, space operations, and logistics and range services solutions in more than 50 countries and 50 US States. Under Karl’s leadership, the Mission Solutions team delivers differentiated solutions across the portfolio of high consequence programs of national significance through strong client partnership, keen understanding of essential missions supported, and laser-focus on the delivery of service excellence.
Before joining Amentum, Karl headed the Mission Readiness Business Unit at AECOM and also held executive positions at CSC, including VPGM Maritime, VPGM Army, VP Intelligence, and VP Strategic Business Development.
Karl obtained a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Fox School of Business at Temple University in May 2018. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Duke University’s Global Executive Program, where he was a Fuqua Scholar, received a Master of Science in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences from George Washington University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Systems from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He obtained a U.S. Coast Guard Engineering License and served as a Naval Reserve Officer.
Karl has been married to Lisa since 1989 and has three lovely daughters Julia, Emma, and Bailey. Karl was inducted into the Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
