Luis is the Chief Information Officer of Amentum, a leader in global engineering, project management and system integration for the U.S. government, our allies and Fortune 500 companies. He oversees the IT team, processes and technologies that enable the company’s business transformation and growth strategy.
Luis brings a well-rounded approach to the Amentum CIO role with extensive experience in business process management, information technology, operations and logistics management, and management of large and complex transformation projects. Prior to Amentum, he served as the VP and CIO of Visteon Corporation, where he oversaw all IT functions and transformed IT from a backend operation into a true business partner. His innovations have led to productivity increases in the software development cycle and new approaches to increase efficiency, improve productivity and effectively manage the chip shortages that kept the company ahead of the competition. Prior to Visteon, Luis spent almost 20 years at Tenaris, where he served as Chief Process and Information Officer. He joined the company to be part of the team managing strategic mergers and acquisition and launched its IPO. Before joining Tenaris, Luis worked for Ternium as Head of Strategic Planning and Head of New Business Development for the Automotive Sector.
Luis has a Physics degree from the University of Buenos Aires, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received the Rocca Fellowship.
