Cloud

The Amentum Missile Defense and NORAD groups provide a wide array of cloud-based computing solutions that help clients at any stage of Cloud adoption, technical refresh or migration to several authorized Commercial Cloud providers.

Amentum provides and manages the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment that hosts the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Crisis Management System. Through its Processor Capacity Services (PCS) System Z effort, Amentum provides Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) with reliable, responsive on-demand processing capabilities that are the backbone of DISA’s System Z private cloud.

We can assist any customer in developing, implementing, and operating Cloud computing capabilities in order to realize operational performance and cost savings.

Solutions

  • Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) for all new hardware, allowing for efficient and consistent management of infrastructure through code, thereby reducing human error
  • VMware Cloud Foundation, including cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Secure and manage Cloud operations, including monitoring and alerting
  • Manage the modernization and migration of applications, systems, and data
  • Cloud Automation
  • Support and maintain the commercial cloud service offering (AWS GovCloud), ensuring migrated applications established in the environment comply with DoD policies and directives. Provide the infrastructure and tools support during and after migration to ensure migrated applications remain secure and available to the customer. Provide all enterprise services needed to support operations access, network, change and incident management, and security services including RMF documentation required to operate at the required DoD Cloud Computing SRG Impact Levels.
  • Flexible: Flexible scaling of resources based on demand to adapt to missions without over-provisioning infrastructure, including moving workloads between on-premises and cloud environments as needed and choosing where to run specific applications based on performance, compliance, and cost.
  • Resilient: By replicating critical services, data, and applications between on-premises and cloud environments, when an outage occurs, it can be quickly restored from the alternative location enhancing DR/COOP
  • Efficient: Management consoles provide visibility into both on-premises and cloud resources to monitor usage and make data-driven decisions to minimize unnecessary expenses and optimize resource allocation and costs. Automating repetitive tasks and processes streamlines operations and enable the allocation of resources to higher-value tasks leading to faster project delivery, quicker response times, and increased capacity.
  • Effective: Integration between on-premises and cloud enables seamless data flow and collaboration between different environments, enabling effective operations.
  • Secure: Enhanced security posture and simplified compliance management improves consistent security posture across the enterprise
  • Scalability and Load Balancing: Automatically scaling resources up or down based on workload demands to distribute traffic among multiple instances based on mission .
  • Integration and Interoperability: Integrating services and APIs from different cloud providers and third-party applications ensuring seamless data flow and communication.
  • Data Storage: scalable and cost-effective cloud storage solutions that enable the storage of vast amounts of data paired with on-prem devices, used to store sensitive or critical data that cannot be migrated to the cloud
  • Data Integration: enabling the ability to connect, transform, and move data between on-premises, cloud environments and between classifications while ensuring data consistency to facilitate real-time data synchronization.
  • Data Processing and Analytics: Data Warehouses centralize and analyze large datasets, providing flexibility and scalability to meet missions quickly.
  • Data Access and APIs: APIs and data services to access and manipulate data stored in the cloud, enabling integration with applications and services
  • Data Security and Compliance: Data encryption at rest and in transit to protect sensitive data at rest or during transit with compliance tools built in.
  • Data Backup and Disaster Recovery: Secure backup of on-premises data to the cloud with data redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities, reducing the risk of data loss integrated with on-premises redundancy for critical cloud information.
  • End-user Computing: Provisioning and managing of virtual desktops and applications that are hosted in both on-premises data centers and cloud environments, enabling users to access their desktops and apps from various devices and locations
  • File Sharing and Email: File storage and sharing solutions tenable end-users to access documents, files and email from anywhere.
  • Unified Communication: Voice over IP, video conferencing, and chat seamlessly connecting on-premises systems with cloud-based communication platforms.
  • Endpoint Management: Laptops and mobile devices are properly configured, secured, and compliant with policies, whether they are on-premises or remote.
  • Application Virtualization: application delivery controllers or virtualization technologies to optimize the delivery of applications, ensuring fast and reliable access for end-users.
